University of Essex studentThe University of Essex is currently in the top 10 in the UK for KTPs and first in the southeast of England, including London, and working with more companies and organisations than any other institution in the region on Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTPs) to help businesses to innovate and grow.

KTPs are a three-way partnership between a university, a company, and a high-calibre graduate. Projects typically last from six months to three years and they are designed to help companies solve strategic problems, with the scheme being sponsored by Innovate UK, Research Councils and other bodies.
