Chesterford Research Park chosen for diabetes research laboratory space

Chesterford Research ParkLeading biopharmaceutical company Arecor has chosen Chesterford Research Park as the location from which to expand and grow their portfolio of products to enable improved treatments for diabetes care.

Arecor is the latest company to move to Chesterford where they will join major bioscience players such as AstraZeneca, Illumina Inc and Domainex who have all chosen Chesterford as the base from which to advance their research and development.

Expanding laboratory space for diabetes research

Chesterford Research ParkArecor were keen to find a location that could accommodate expansion and INVEST Essex, Essex County Council’s inward investment team, worked with Arecor on their choice of site; a 10,000sq ft (929sq m) facility incorporating an office and a research and development (R&D) space. This will be twice the size of the company’s existing premises and will allow the company to expand their R&D facilities.

INVEST Essex also introduced Arecor to Uttlesford District Council who were able to provide support to the company with their Business Development Rate Relief Scheme. Arecor are now in the process of developing commercial collaborations which INVEST Essex will offer support with.
